I'm in the market for a new knife. My budget is about $150, although I'm hoping to spend less.
I'm contemplating purchasing a Delica 4 and Mini Grip or getting a Spyderco Yojimbo 2, or maybe a manix 2. Im open to suggestion to other knives. Preferably Spyderco, benchmade, or ZT.

And sorry ElBee, I should've mentioned this, but yes this is primarily EDC. I have a mini collection so far including:
-Ontario Rat 1 (beater)
-Buck 110 (fishin, camping and hiking edc)
-Kershaw Blur S30V (was my primary edc, but selling it)
-Cold Steel Recon 1 (self defense if necessary)
-Spydercl PM2 (main edc as of now)
-ZT 0350 (my tank edc)

I'm just looking to expand my collection with various brands and blade profiles. Trying not to buy or own knives that will overlap eachother. I no longer carry my blur, instead I have my pm2 which is lightweight like the blur, and my ZT 0350 has the recurve.

Can't go wrong with either the Delica or the Mini, or both for that matter. Is this strictly EDC? Any hard use? Outdoor use? Do you want something that's a bit more discreet? What you plan on doing with the knife will help narrow the field a bit.

I am a big Delica fan. I don't think you can ever go wrong with a Delica. Great user, easy carry and awesome ergos.

As long as you're open to other choices, The PM2 has a legion of loyal fans for a reason. I think it's plenty beefy, but carries well, and the fine point makes it very practical. The lock is unique--and solid.

Haven't owned the Yojimbo--not really my thing. When you start to look at the most popular knives out there, you won't likely make a bad choice, but there is a chance one might be better suited to your particular needs.

I edited my original post to answer some of your questions. Sorry about that!

I see you don't have a Benchmade yet. Seems like a good time to change that.

Bento Box Shop (I think they are a sponsor, if not can delete) has a great price on the Yojimbo right now.

Mini
Delica
or
Manix2 LW

The YM2.. Box cutter blade.pass

Aw man I absolutely cosign on the Yojimbo out of all the knives I've bought this past year the Yojimbo and my Bad Monkey are the only 2 I edc rotate. I love the Yojimbo man it's just a different knife than any of em!

If you do not care about weight and how wide the Manix 2 is in the pocket, its a good knife. I think the Mini grip is a great choice due to the axis lock, weight and size, although those FRN handles are hard to warm up to.

Yoji 2! You don't have any wharncliffes in your collection yet, and every collection should have at least one.

Just bought a Yo 2 and am liking it big time. Only concern is the sharpening of the wharncliffe blade - makes me feel a little uneasy.

If looking to expand your collection with various brands, add the Benchmade.

Then grab some custom scales for it from Wilkins later on. Have fun!

Might be a good time to try out a Benchmade 710, it is just "one of those knives" that everyone should try out at some point. That model has been my son's favorite for 5 years running right now (along with the Adamas 275 and Rukus 610 when he is in beastmode) and is a great carrying big blade that slices like a bandit. Sounds like the Yoji2 has you intrigued though, so let your passion be your guide.

Maybe try the Griptilian, minis are great, and a pair of Byrds, G-10 Meadowlark 2 and FRN Cara Cara 2?

I can agree 100% I disliked this knife for a while, then one day I forced myself to carry it for a month. I love this knife now.

I love the "umnumzaan style" of opening, and the 710 excels at it. That my son is constantly (via me) exposed to CRK's, Hinderer's, Emerson's, Medford's, ZT's, Spydies, Brous Blades, etc, etc - and only has affection for his 710 is somewhat illustrative. And he is one with a taste for shall we say finer things too; you should see what cars the kid has.

Both the Delica and the mini Grip are smaller than all the knives you, the OP, own. Smallness can be very handy in situations where bigger, heavier knives are a hindrance. Get both. As another mentioned, you need to try a Benchmade. The Axis lock is very nice.

I bought a Yojimbo2 knowing that odd looks always led to fantastic usability in Spydercos. Try as I might I can't bond with it even after carrying it extensively.

It is about $15 more than your listed budget, but you might look at the newly released BM Mini Griptilian with G-10 scales and 20CV steel...
The full size version has already shipped, and the Mini's should be soon. Very cool knives

BM also offers a Custom build program. You can order your Mini Grip in a wide variety of colors that aren't available in regular production knives, as well as having the choice
between D2, S30V, or 154 steel. A Mini in S30V is $140.

Another Mini Grip option if you want to keep the price down a little is the Cabelas exclusive Mini Grip in D2. You can pick between black, green, sand and pink, and they are $99
