Exceptionally similar knives, one big, one small. The Delica will slice and carry in the pocket a bit better, the Endura will have better reach and be a bit more robust. As for Amazon, well, I would advise against using them for Spydercos, as they are often counterfeited and your average Amazon employee isn't gonna have a clue as to what to look for to tell the difference. Given Spyderco's MAP policy there isn't likely to be much of a price difference and a dealer that supports Bladeforums like Knifecenter, Knifeworks, GPKnives, BladeHQ or New Graham knives will offer you much more expertise and protection if you buy from them.

Thanks for the your input, I'll check out the retailers you suggested, as far as which knife, I think the delica will suit me better for now. Cheers

i prefer the endura but i like larger blades in general. the endura grip is odd as the first grip area is too big for one finger for me and too small for 2 fingers. whereas the delica fits better in setup of the grips, but that aside i find the delica blade too small for my liking. so the one j own with a wave never gets pocket time. for many they dont need or want a larger blade so i understand that. its a very perosnal and possibly legal on size allowed issue to be considered.

be careful on amazon. sold and stocked by amazon is real product or should be, but 3rd parties sellers can be risky. for the same money lots of good solid dealers who you can trust.

Endura is my goto work knife. I've literally gone through 20 of them, and they never fail me for what I expect of them. I have med/large hands, and the delica isn't enough blade or grip when I have to pay more attention to other things, than where my grip is at. I buy them sometimes on Amazon, but never from third party sellers on there. I think it's fine as long as you are mindful of who the seller is.

I personally like the delica more, but both are are equally as good. Its just a preference thing. Endura is about 3.75" blade and a little thicker blade. Delica i think not quite 3".
But i have small-med hand size for a guy and tend to lean towards that 3" blade length. They both carry really well though due to thinness, lightweight, and neither being broad blades open or closed.

Apples and Bananas. It's Amazon (its authentic unless the deal is to good to be true), get both and return the one you don't like =)
Or keep them.

What I do to check out knives: save a picture of the knife open, an image smaller than the real, not bigger. Then move it up in size, using a ruler till the handle is the same size as the real thing.

The wrap your hand (make a fist) and put it up to the handle to see how it would fit.

I own both, never carry the Endura, its just too large(it's for sale in fact). If/when I need something larger than the Delica, I'd much rather have a fixed blade since there isn't much penalty in the carry for a much, much tougher tool.
Oh, and the Endura might scare some people, so you might be limited on where you're able to use it; might be a concern if, like me, you use your knife for peeling/cutting apples, oranges, tomatoes and stuff in public places. The Delica doesn't scare anybody.

if a knife by looks scares anyone than any knife will do it. ive tested this at my office and around tourists from knife unfriendly areas in big cities etc. like montreal.;) those who are scared by an endura are scared by a delica or for that matter a peanut or sodbuster just as much.

Personally I like the Delica or knives sized like the Delica for an EDC. Sometimes the Endura feels like a sword when you open it up.

I've had a different experience, in my experience smaller knives get less noticed by bystanders.

But I guess it also depends on the attitude and mannerism, if I single handedly flick open an Endura in an authoritative manner and then attack an apple like a ninja who's fighting for is life I would get noticed more than if I discreetly open the knife with two hands and peel the apple like a chef in his kitchen.

Of course, there are a few who notice and get scared of everything, but mental cases like this are few thankfully.

I must admit, I haven't found this to be true at all.

Me neither other than larger bladed folders and it is often me that is bothered by what I "think" people will react to. I have two Enduras by the way. :D

I have big, thick hands. You would never call mine dainty. I like the Delica as a pocket knife and it fits my hand well.

I wear an XL glove, and both knives are comfortable in hand. I recommend that you select the knife which best suits your purpose. I don't think handle fit will be an issue for you. The Delica can accommodate a relatively large hand, and the Endura can accommodate a relatively small hand. I suspect it's probably one of the many reasons why they are such popular knives.

I'll echo the recommendation to avoid Amazon when purchasing a Spyderco. Their logistics model makes them susceptible to Spyderco counterfeits.

I agree. There are people in my workplace who are scared of my Victorinox Cadet. I'm sure it doesn't scare them as much as my Cold Steel XL Voyager would, but it scares them none the less.

My little girl (22) has both and likes the Endura, comboedge, better. She doesn't need the larger size and the Delica is more "accessible".

your comment about flicking open a knife says why your experience is different than mine. ive never had to flick open any knife to do any task. never expect i will. so be it. the fact is if the delica scares anyone more than an endura its due to the way the knife holder is handling the knife more than the knife itself.......

i dont doubt that. many see many things differently and experience different things. we arent doing real scientific testing so the results will be very different. i use knives like tools not weapons being used like a tool, and so my people testing will yield very different results than yours i imagine. course folks round here carry openly very big fixed knives and big folding knives cause we can legally and no one really notices knives like i read about on here from others experiences. that alone may spark very different results. so be it. its not about being right or wrong as there is no right or wrong on experience. its about just what i see.......
