Is it possible to get a Delica with ZDP-189 and black FRN handle? It seems all that I can find have green or bluish green handles.

The model numbers are C11PGRE or C11SGRE

Why does Spyderco do that? It's annoying that I can't get a Waved Delica with a black handle either, they all have that blue color.

How hard would it be for Spyderco to offer different colors on the same model, the handles are direct fit anyways.

The ZDP models are ONLY available as british racing green. Likewise, the Emerson Opener models are only available as gray/blue handles.

I know, I wish there were a choice as well. I guess they want us to buy all of them ;)

Yeah I guess this is the only complaint I have with Spyderco.

It would be nice to have an optional black handle for each model, because not everyone likes British Racing Green??????

Well, so much for buying the Delica in ZDP-189

You can just swap the handles if you dont like the colour. Iv got a G-10 ZDP Delica ;)

That being said, how hard is it to swap handles?

Does the entire knife separate when you remove the screws holding the handles?

Not actually true.

I have two ZDP Delicas: one green, one blue. They don't seem to be unheard of online, either:

True, but I think the blue is an extremely limited model.

It's not hard at all. As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to switch anything except the scales themselves if all you want to do is change the color. Unless it's the G10 model. I'm not sure if you'd have to switch liners, because with the G10 model, the liners don't go "into" the scales like they do in the FRNs.

If its FRN you can just swap the scales. The G-10 D4 has full liners so you need to swap the whole thing over.
