Delivered: ESEE Izula

check out some of the tutorials on youtube on how to wrap it, they helped me alot to get mine done
 
FYI, sheath slipped while wrapping. First blood. Kinda deep. This has to be the sharpest factory knife I've had yet. Funny how the sharp ones don't even bleed at first. =) Kinda hoping this one wont need stitches.

Word to the wise. Don't go the the eye doc and get your eyes dilated, and then try to paracord wrap your Izula.

Uh oh, I guess if you're still typing it can't be to bad. I've seen some real bad Izula cuts. I'm the last person to recommend stitches, in fact I've never gotten stitches for a knife cut but when our secretary cut herself I knew she needed them. It was bad. :eek:
 
ouch!! I kept my sheath on when i wrapped mine.... hope the cut isnt too bad

Sounds like time for CA!

Don't bother with the doc unless you hit an arterial or sever a joint/muscle/etc...cuts heal, people live, save money ;)
 
This is an older image, but you can see a different style of wrapping. By crossing the lines over in the middle it adds a little thickness. I tied a reef knot inside the ring and slightly melted it stiff. Picture shows "guts in" paracord.

Howd you get the end of the wrap to disappear there?


Unfortunately the paracord included with the knife isn't long enough to fully wrap it, so I'll have to buy more :(

If only they could have included an extra 6 inches or so.


Also, its probably because my eyes are still dilated and screwed up, but looking at the edge, it looks as though the grind mind not be all that symmetrical...

I contacted some guy here on BF who does paracord to wrap mine. He is going to be doing it. I'll add photos when it's done. I hope he makes it look great. I'm having a different wrap then I've ever seen anyone have. So, hopefully it turns out good. :D

This one's a riot, at 25 seconds in he says to put the sheath on because he slipped and "cut his manhood".....:eek:

Pretty wrap on one side but the little melted balls on the other side look like well.......:D

I like that blue standard wrap - what a nice color combo!!
