Delivered: ESEE Izula

For those looking for the disappearing tag ends look, there is an alternative to melting them into an ugly lump on the backside. Well, I say that... admittedly I haven't tried this with regular ol' paracord, but it works beautifully when gutted.

Here is my Izula wrap, (ZOOM)

The back side looks identical to the front, as well; no random straight line of unwoven paracord like you see on so many other wraps.

To achieve this, I started with one tag end held to the inside of the cut out on the spine side of the knife and began weaving the cord in and out all the way down, being careful to keep that tag end snug up against the spine side of the cut out. About 4-5 weaves from the bottom I held a 1' strand of fishing line (the highest pound test you've got; trust me, you'll need it!) with a bend pointed towards the ring and continued to weave, being sure to weave over the fishing line, putting it snug up against the spine side of the cut out like I did with the first tag end. When I could no longer fit any more weaves through the hole, I pushed the tag end through the ring and cut/burned it so that it was about 1/3 up the handle. Now it's as "simple" as slipping the tag end through the fishing line loop and yanking it up into the handle. You'll probably want gloves for this part...

And there you have it! This wrap should never come undone, as the burnt ends will anchor themselves deep within the wrap itself.
