Delta Sharpening Center with Horizontal Rotary Stone

Anyone out there have experience working with the Delta brand Sharpening Center that uses a horizontal rotary sharpening stone rated at 1000 grit. It is my understanding that it is primarily used for sharpening the blades on planers for woodworking.
