This knife started out as a Delta-Z Osprey, designed by Darrell Ralph. It has a plain edged 3 1/4" teflon coated blade ,AUS-8A steel, G-10 scales and stainless liners with some straight across factory filework. It's a high quality liner lock folder manufactured in Taiwan. The fancy "V" stamped on the backside of the blade is a clue to the fact that this knife was converted by custom knife builder Butch Vallotton. It takes about one minute of practice to master the auto opening feature. The user will be rewarded with a very satisfying "snap" as the blade flies open lightning quick and locks up tight.
The Dual Action feature makes this knife a great EDC. You can operate it like a typical liner lock or use the hidden auto opening action. This is a rare piece since Delta-Z is out of business and Mr Vallotton does not seem to be doing many conversions these days.
