I know that they are, unfortunately, going out of business, but I wanted to relate my experience with Barnaby Zelman at DeltaZ knives. I ordered several knives from him during DeltaZ's going out of business sale, including 2 360 deg pivot knives and two Ospreys, one the fancy model with the maple burl scales. Unfortunately, one of the 360 pivot knives had a defect with the ball detent that held the handle closed, and the maple burl Osprey had a very rough action. I figured I was SOL because all items were sold as is since the company is going out of business. I figured it wouldn't hurt to send off an e-mail, and boy am I glad I did! Barnaby told me to ship back the knives and give him the product numbers so he could set some aside for me, and now the replacements are on their way to me as I speak. He could have hidden behind the 'as is' policy and I couldn't argue, since that is stated clearly in the purchase agreement. Instead he was a gentleman and stood by his product, for which reason I am very grateful and impressed. They're nice knives too. I hope that Barnaby has luck in future business endevours, I certainly won't hesitate to buy from him again.

Bill,

Never got a chance to thank you for the kind words. I've been focused on my other business for a few years and just now getting back into knives from a personal collector/user standpoint. It was guys like you that made my memories of DeltaZ so great, dispite our eventual closing up shop.

Keep in touch.

Barnaby
