I had ear plugs in and turned on my surface demagnetizer to run some parts over. That was last night, tonight I went out there and noticed it was still on with no buzzing. I ran a piece of steel over and nothing happened. Anything I can do to fix it from being on so long? Any help would be appreciated.

My experience says its off to harbour freight ! We have had a couple of these left on at work and they were cooked. Nice thing is they aren't overlly expensive

Very likely that its toast. I've done the same thing in the past. I took the time to ready the manual on the last one I had to purchase, and it states not to leave the unit on longer than necessary to complete the demagnetizing....as the unit will burn itself out.

Kinda what I figured. I had remembered reading about not leaving it on, that's how I new what screwed it up. Ah well

With the new one ,get a cheap timer switch, and turn it on with the timer. That way it will turn off automatically in ,say 15 minutes.
