Not my first DeBraga, but easily the best.

Handle - textured/antiqued, carved body/wing form, worked African blackwood
Hilt - Cast in the shape of a clawed foot, silver escutcheons
Blade - 5" carved Damascus
Pommel - Carved "Demon" with fullcut diamond eyes, spiral fluted mother of pearl horn

And ultra sharp!

I m not regularly into fantasy pieces but ............ The sculpted Damascus blade and the carved handle are so well done I find it very interesting

Joe, it's the work involved that caught my attention. Fantasy knives aren't my style, either.

Mark, no sheath.

I'll post Coop's pics once that's all done.

that dude makes the sickest knives! I love his style.
as for fantasy...well, I've seen plenty of 'practical' knives that never see more or different use than a knife like this one would.

damn! I LOVE this knife!

Not much of a fantasy knife fan myself, but I like that a lot. I have a custom DeBraga Tighe collaboration but i don't really see much DeBraga around. Great piece!

This is an awesome creation, bravo!

Do you have to sleep with the light on after one of these designs comes to you?!

:) bj

Fantasy knife maybe- but it's one of the few that still look like a knife and a fairly practical one at that. :) The handle looks relatively comfortable too, all things considered.

Certainly no one can deny the incredible detail and the workmanship on display here. I like it quite a bit.

Thanks for sharing it wit us Bob!

My thoughts echo John Doyle's.

I have a copy of KI in which Bud Lang did shop tour of Jose's place. Something that really stuck with me were the photos of his knife drawings...they include every single detail that the finished knives end up with. Just to draw like that takes incredible talent, but to be able to bring the drawings to life is amazing.

Very talented for sure!!!

Thanks Bob! :)

Bob, great stuff. Very cool carving and sculpting. I look forward to Coops photos.

Bob, I love Jose's work and know you really know how to pick 'em. Must keep
reminding myself to visit the "Betzner Museum" on my next trip to California.
Looking forward to Coop's pics.

Bob,

My first thought was "Goblin".
This piece is so cool !

The carved blade itself is a jaw dropper.

So many small details contributing to the whole.
What an amazing knife, Congrats !

I've gone back to this a few times and it's grown on me. It's all in the detail, great acquisition, Bob.
