Depressed?

Anyone ever been truly depressed after selling a Busse/kin? Finding myself longing lately.............. Silliness......

I think the cure for that kind of heart-ache is the NEXT Busse.....;)

Seriously though, I can't even imagine how sad I'd be if I had to part with my favorite Busse.:o:(

I'm sorry for your loss, Joe. I'm sure you will find another that captivates you just as the former one did.:)

Knives come, knives go. After you get something new the old becomes a GREAT memory!!
 
Carried it daily, small of my back, horizontal. Replaced it with a Rodent Solution. Awesome knife, but it's no ASH1.
 
Yes. Although it went to a great home, I have been depressed about letting my ST Ripper go for a long time. The DSSF was the last one I had to let go, and I miss it terribly. Silly or not, I am still depressed when I think about them.

I've let a lot of blades go that I really liked, but had to go to pay the bills.

All I've got to remember them by are photos and memories and that's enough for me.

I've got no regrets, just a library full of my comparison photos of blades gone by....:D
 
Having to sell my only two pieces of bussekin to buy presents, I was very depressed. Especially since I was naive and bought an over priced scrapizashi off fleabay for $720 than taking a $350ish loss on it. I still think about the FFBM I used to have, all the time. From the looks of it the NMFSHCG will be a better fit for me than the FFBM, so I'm hopeful for the future.

I had to sell a lot, pretty much all of them, about 7 or 8 years ago to pay bills. No regrets. You do what has to be done. There will always be more knives.
 
There always may be more knives...but sometimes not the same!

I'll sell Jerry my liver before I part with these...

Yes... There are a few that I wished I could've kept. Stupidly, when I've needed money in the past, I've sold INFI instead of touched my Savings or taken money out of my investments. I guess it's a good thing I did that; however, because now I have the money for the ring, house and Audi A3 that I am buying/have bought. I like nice things and I tend to buy a lot of the things I like. Unfortunately, Busses have the best resale value, so they are often the first to go when I find myself cash-low. I am still only 27 and am still putting my life together. Once I get out of a bad real estate investment that I'm in, I will be back to buying all the steel I want and someday will have a Jaxx sized collection.

I think I was most depressed when I sold my Jungle Green FFG Dog Father. The SAR-6 LE and SFNO LE hurt pretty bad too. The thing is, knives are replaceable. I will get back my Tigerhide SFNO & SAR-6 LEs. I will probably never get back the Jungle Green FFG DF, unless the person who now has it reads this :D

I live by no regrets, but I apply that to buying more than I do selling.

Forgive the rant; I have been moonlighting (software development) all night for the past two nights and think I am becoming Manic.
