Depressed?

Yes. I have owned 12 Busse. I am at 4 right now. They are fine examples, but still less than I had!

I have never sold any busse or kin but I lost my BME in the woods and I must admit it was actually qite sad . She had been with me for the better part of 9 years so it was like loosing a friend.. But after Aztim sold me a KZ 2 and I realized she was replaceable and just a knife I felt good again.

I regret selling every Busse I've ever sold. FBMLE the most and a nice hell razor with jungle shadow and snakeskin!

This thread prompted me to look at my custom designed Busse collection tracking software. It made me even said when I looked at the amount I've sold vs. what I still own. A while back, I thought it was a good idea to sell all of the blades that I had not used yet, except a select few that I considered my "safe queens". My girlfriend at the time had a lot to do with that. I had a different job back then and had gone through some big financial blows, so it made sense... to her at least. I now have 15 Busse and a few kin. Makes me sad. I remembered that I had sold my muddy scrapmuk and my busse muk. I am mukless!! The loss of the scrapmuk is really depressing. DELETE this thread! Haha.

That is awful!! the BMe is an incredible knife. I have yet to lose one. I always make sure that if I set a knife down, it is in the same tree if I'm at camp, and if I am not at camp, I don't set my knives down. I ALMOST lost my regulator, which was a gift from an amazing dog, because my friend who had borrowed it for the night did not use the tree! That would of REALLY hurt.

I haven't given up hope entirely on my old mistress though, I visited a friend of mine a few days ago and voila!!! what did my eye spy in his livingroom?? It was a brand spanking new metal detector ! so as soon as the snow melts we are setting operation find the mistress in motion..

Good idea, but I heard that INFI is not a metal :(.

That would be amazing if you found it! Best of luck!

Yes. I will always miss the little three bolt a2 badger attack I traded off when I first found the busse forums. Let it go for a hofsh that I liked not realiZING I could not replace the badger without paying an arm and a leg. Lessons learned

He he he I had my sarge7 on my belt that day and the sound of infi was something i just had to experience so we turned it on and the detector screamed like crazy..

I have a Scrapper 5 that is MIA just now ... it has NEVER left the house so I live in hope it is behind/under something.... :)

JAXX said "I'll sell Jerry my liver before I part with these..." Actually Jerry might go for that . He'll probably need it soon anyway :very_drunk:

Joe , I remember you posting over on the Yard's forum about having to sell your ASH-1 when I had posted that I regretted selling my Scrapper 6 . Well I "think" a fellow Dog or Hog helped me out , because within a week or less maybe a Scrapper 6 got posted on the exchange . So when money is there for you to buy another knife , maybe come and tell us here and a nice ASH-1 might magically appear for sale on the exchange for you Joe .

Because we all know that there is a bunch of really good people on here .

I traded one of my Busse's to Bobby and I still miss it, a finger groove bruiser FBM. She was a beaut for sure!!!

Anyone ever been truly depressed after selling a Busse/kin? Finding myself longing lately.............. Silliness......

I am a working man, and I remember when I was a kid, and not being able to afford a Victorinox spartan...I still own and carry from time to time the first victorinox classic my father gave me when I was 12yo... a lot of water has passed under the bridge, I now own a few rare and/or expensive knives (expensive for most of people I guess), I have never left go a blade that I charish, but I have bought them from people who do... thats why I ALLWAYS OFFER TO SELL THEM BACK TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER...is one of those unexplainable moral behaviours...

My advice is to Give it a try...the purchaser might be willing to give it back, if not now, in a few months or years perhaps
.

I think the purchaser of said ASH has already given Joe unconditional first option at original price should said blade need re-homing... ;)

Andy , you're the kind of "good people" I meant in my post . That seems to be the spirit of this fomur and what makes this such a great place .

Selling a Busse Combat knife is always difficult.

But it's usually offset with a nice pile of money.

And there is always a future Busse, possibly another ASH1, to help your deal with your grief.

Remember, NO REGRETS!!!!!!

I am currently depressed because I can't afford the DABA in the exchange. What a freakin' awesome blade!
