One of the reasons I really enjoy custom knives is because custom knife makers are such good guys. Two good cases in point. I sent Deryk Munroe my Chimera to tune up the clip. What I gotback was virtually a new knife, sharpened, lock tuned up, clip tuned up and a pouch, all at no cost! I was selling one of my Model 4s on the forums and noted there was a small mark on the handle. Kit e-mailed me and offered to fix it for free. I didn't buy either of these knives directly from the maker. I wish more people in other walks of life were as stand-up as these guys, and when it comes to knifemakers, they're the rule, not the exception.

I think the knifemakers have spoiled us...I expect the same level of customer service and dedication out of everyone now! 
Needless to say, most of the guys at RadioShack aren't willing to take two steps out from behind the counter to help! LOL
I have yet to find a community that is so closely knit as the custom knife community.

Deryk was great with my Chimera. It was a 6 week lead time when I ordered, but all kinds of unexpected problems arose and it ended up being more like 6 months - Deryk really was awesome about making sure that when I got the knife I was stoked! It was definitely worth the wait!
