Desert Douk-Douk.

The funny thing about douk-douks: If you go to a muslim country, this is the knife the working man is appreciating and working with the most.
Upon traveling in the Thar desert in India (close to Pakistan), the indian (muslim) guide admired my douk-douk with such a desire in his eyes, I gave it to him as a farewell gift. He never even looked at the splendid Remington R4468 moose I was also carrying.
Different countries, different ideas about beauty.

This story reminded me of this knife. I have this douk for a few years but never got used to the skinny handle, being used to Friedrich herder sodbusters or hippeknieps as E call them. So I took to modding this douk, removed the bail and put padouk scales on...
