I had a small piece of Alabama Damascus left over after making a customers knife. So I came up with this design. As it turns out, I really like this knife now that it's in my hands! It's very comfortable and a head turner for sure!
There are several inclusions, including the one on the left side above the rear Mosaic pin. It looks big, but it has been filled and sealed. Instead of filling it in with wood, I decided to leave it clear because I think it adds to the character of these scales! This is some of the best Desert Ironwood I've had the pleasure to work with!
I'm not 100% sure what this style of Damascus is called, but I believe the folks at Alabama Damascus called it Alabama Buckshot. It's either that or the Raindrop pattern.
The swedge at the front is not sharpened.
Here's the specs on the Knife.
Steel: 1/8" (approx .125) Alabama Damascus steel
Handles: Desert Ironwood over Red liner
Hardware: 2 1/4" Mosaic Pins and 1 3/16" black micarta pin
