Shon Rowen has been experimenting with some various powder colors and he sent me this photo today. I know most everyone here is wanting green/black and orange combo, and we'll eventually get there, but just wanted to post this up for now.

That looks really classy! Now how about some micarta choices? I'm still hoping for the green canvas!

I'm sure we can do some green canvas on one color. We just don't want to get into offering a bunch of different choices on every model since it makes production a bitch. One thing about this tan model is it will show up in the woods. Green Canvas on this one may work well since the blade shows up well.

So does that mean you might do it in the rounded pommel version?

Whatever colors/options we choose for a new line item will definitely include both the standard and rounded pommel.

I'm not a huge fan of the combo. It just doesn't click with me. But HEY--to each his own!

I think if the color was a little more dark/brownish, it'd look better. From the pictures it seems kind of light. But I like that you guys are playing with new colors.

I like the standard pommel, so I'm glad it is staying an option, but I'd also love green canvas micarta.

Now that looks exceptional! Maybe you could sell green canvas as an aftermarke option. I'd love to replace the grey slabs on my RC4 when it arrives:)

We don't sell aftermarket handles since we mate the handles with the knife in the production process. No worries on the tan Micarta...let the green sit out in the sun for a few days and it will fade to a brownish color real quick ;)

As a side note, the black handle screws on our regular line of RC knives are also stainless steel.

Now that's nice! Not that I think the gray micarta is bad, I just think the green canvas is better for most cases. I don't have a RC-3 yet, but looks like it won't be long before I order one.

You guys are doing a great job with RAT Cutlery. I have to go to class right now so I can't really elaborate, but you guys are expanding, new products, take feedback well, and still offer that great customer service. You guys are going to be big! And I'm glad to be here from the start (kind of).

If RC does go ahead and supply a knife as the BladeForum Wilderness & Survival knife, it would be cool if it was something distinctive like this!
