Desert Tan RC-3 (photo)

XMP, If that's what Spark and everyone agrees on then we can do that for the BFs folk!

MrPink, Thanks for the kind words. RC is being built on a philosophy of American Made, quality, listening to customer feedback, trying to maintain decent prices and absolute customer service. We appreciate all of you for participating here even if you haven't bought any of our products. We love feedback.

I like the clean finish appearence this combo gives the knife. You mention stainless screws on the scales; does this mean that the scales are 'user friendly' and can be changed out if desired on all the standard models? A BF WSS knife with tiger scales with the tan blade finish would be nice IMO. How does the RC-4 balance, or more, where is the balance point of the knife when held? If anything like the RAT 3 then it'll be a joy to use all day long!

If someone wants to change the scales out, they can. We just don't supply optional scales since we "marry" a set of scales to a knife once it starts through the production process.

The RC-4 is a bit blade heavy.

when will the tan/green rc-4 hit the market? i'm waiting to pull the trigger until i can get the tan model.

with Green Canvas

WOW, now that is NICE! I want one...now I see that I have to wait until May... dang!

I'm sure we can do some green canvas on one color. We just don't want to get into offering a bunch of different choices on every model since it makes production a bitch. One thing about this tan model is it will show up in the woods. Green Canvas on this one may work well since the blade shows up well.
Why not have a standard production handle color and make additional handle color variations available for the owner to play with. Tan in the desert, green in the trees, black with your tux and bow tie. . .day glow orange for SAR.

Heres Jeffs post to this question in another thread.
I hope it helps!
I think I will just buy one knife of each color ;)

We talked about it but decided against it since we match handle slabs to the blades during production. That's the reason our handles fit so good. We do this because the laser will vary slightly when doing the profile and if we sold separate handles then there could possibly be some minor mis-match and that's not good enough for us.

We'll get an orange handled knife out there before too long. Mike and I want to do some testing on Orange micarta to see how much it fades in the sun. If it's too bad then we'll go to the G10.

Wow, That is a great looking knife! Maybe too great, I'd hate to get it all dirty. Ok, that one for the case and the reg for the dirt! I'll take one
