After completing my first knife and handling it, I wanted to make few adjustments, mostly in the handle. the blade profile and size will be the same as from my first one. First off, what is a good rule of thumb for spacing of pins? I'm thinking my pins may need to be closer to the middle but not sure. For the lanyard hole, how far from the edge is recommended? Do you think the choil should be smaller/larger. Finger grove in handle smaller/larger? General Thoughts? I know a lot of this is personal preference but I just wanted to get your thoughts and opinions. Thanks

Pin spacing is based on esthetics, mechanical properties, and scale material choices. G-10 can tolerate lanyard tubes closer to the edge than Burl wood, for example. I like pins about 1/2" from the front and back of the scales, and a third in the center. I only use 2 pins with three finger knives.

Depending on how long the knife is, I'd make the finger choil longer, perhaps slightly deeper as well. I'd also move the pin locations closer to either end of the handle, leaving a fairly equal amount of space between the pin and the close edges of the scales.
