Ted. Imissed the dimensions you included. Did this person ask for such a big hunter. I found the popular ones had blades of say 3 1/2" to 4" The handles were proportonately smaller in diameter but not in length. The opropotions you have drawn make for a great looking knife !!! Frank
Thanks Frank. Yes, he wanted a (relatively) big knife, which is why I'm struggling a bit with the design. If the blade was in the 3 - 4" range, the handle would have been easier to match.
boy, did i find that out! i put a notch on my first two hunting knives (gutting & skinning blade) and HATE that stupid notch! :grumpy:
i think the revised version is a very nice knife. I do agree with patrice about raising the blade to match the handle. for most knives, that looks 'right' to me... except those that don't! like brian goode. his designs have deep blades, and i REALLY like his stuff!
