I've been working on this design for a linerlock for a while and I'm pretty happy with it, but since this is my first folder I'd appreciate if someone with actual experience could look it over.

I'd like some advice on materials as well. The blade is 4mm thick and 100mm long and made of O1 steel.
I'm unsure what material I should use for the linerlock itself.
I'm planning on using captive pins along the back and assemble it with a bolt through the blade joint and at the butt. Does that make sense?
The same bolts will hopefully hold the scales in place.

I'm not one to give advice on folders as I'm still in the process of building my first, but can say the design looks good. I would use a stainless steel for the blade though.

Thanks. I agree that stainless probably would be better, but O1 is what I have

Have you made sure you can fit washers? It looks like you can, but just making sure. Mechanism wise, it looks like a solid, good start. I think the knife needs a lot more flow, and the butt is a bit formless squared off right now. By flow I mean, the handle is mostly a tapered rectangle, and the blade and handle don't seem to match well together. Sheepfoots aren't my thing, but I think it could look a lot more elegant if the spine of the blade/handle in the open position had a smooth, continuous curve. Give me a few minutes and I'll break out my tablet to draw what I'm talking about. Otherwise it looks like a solid start and with some revisions I bet it could look really sexy!

Edit: Wow, I forgot how rusty I was with a graphics tablet, and this is a new computer that doesn't have Photoshop, so this turned out a lot less informative and helpful than I had hoped

I guess it's no really obvious but what I was trying to do was smooth out the transitions between your straight lines and radii. If you're grinding by hand and by eye, you'll tend to do that pretty naturally. The choil and modified sheepsfoot is just my preference :D

Thanks. It's a rigging knife, so the sheepsfoot/wharncliffe style blade is a necessity. I'll give the shape a bit more work.
Does anyone have a suggestion for what metal I should use for the liners?
