Designing Aids

I know this is an old thread, but is anyone else trying inventor? You can do strength/stress tests in program to test the strength of a design and I think that's really interesting.
 
Anyone ever just wing it? I like to draw things in respect to desired outcome, but creative intuition always pushes the boundaries past normalcy....
