A truly lovely knife. I haven't had a chance to do any cutting with Adam's work, but from what Matt Lamey tells me, the knives cut just as good as they look. I believe Adam won the cutting comp this past spring at Batson's shindig at Tannehill State Park here in Alabama... just edging out Reggie.

I'm sure Nifrand will enjoy owning the knife as much as Adam did forging it. :thumbup:

You should see him in action using one! I saw him in Tannehill, Al. at the Batson Blade Symposium. They were refering to him as the human chainsaw. That 2X4 was cut in less than 10 sec. the only person to beat him was some guy named Reggie Barker His knives look good and cut better.

Yep. I was there this year. I think Reggie did the 2 X 4 in just under 7 seconds for first in that event. Adam won the overall. At least I think that's correct. The older I get, the less well I remember.

Just spoke to him the other day. He's living in South Carolina now. All is good - just having to deal with dial up - finds forging blades a better use of his time. He and Jason Knight are making some extraordinary blades. Happy New Year to all!
