I got a roll of stencil material from Jantz, and now it occurs to me that I didn't get any developer of any kind. Dang.

The Jantz material is also perforated for using in a printer or something.
How are you supposed to use this stuff?

get an old fashioned typewriter. I found on for a few dollars at a thrift store. Just type whatever you want it to say. You can also draw freehand on it.

Thanks, guys. So it's the pressure-sensitive type. I was hoping it was the light-sensitive type. Anybody have a good source for a chemical stencil kit?

I've been tempted to try this out. I still have plenty of stencils from IMG. The kit looks pretty simple to use and at least gives a good explanation of how it works.

http://www.etch-o-matic.biz/index.htm these guys have a nice little kit for creating your own stencils also. I just got the small kit and am pretty happy with it. Knowing what I know now I would probably only buy the stencil material and the developer and get my own uv light and make the box for it. probably wouldn't save any money but I like doing stuff like that.

I bought one of the etch o matic stencil makers, and with help from a couple people here I made my own stencils they work great. Instead of buying it from martronics I bought one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Martronics-Etch...goryZ633QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem when it arrived I noticed that Martronics is the one who shipped, the seller usually puts them up every 2 weeks or so, alot cheaper than buying it from Martronics, I already had an etcher so I sold the etchomatic unit so ended up paying less than 1/4 what the unit normally costs.
