The clip on this one is my "Metallic" anodized finish. It looks different depending on the lighting and angle viewed... it is made to match the heat colored hardware.

Mega tough, ultralight and sharp with a 72 RC carbide edge.

.160" Carbidized Titanium Blade

.100" Titanium Frames

- Single Bevel Right Hand Grind with back micro bevel

- Heat Colored Hardware

- Stonewashed Finish

- 72 RC Carbide Edge

- Ultra Light ~60 Grams or just over 2 ounces

~ 6.8" long
~ 2.9" blade

Everything is Titanium besides the hardware which is heat colored stainless steel, I used self lubricating phosphor bronze washers. Non-sharpened swedge

was $255 Shipped, sold thanks! <-- link to buy or check out my store, I accept paypal or credit cards, no fees!

That is a pretty "sick" take on a friction folder. Looks great with the right amount of color. Well done!

Daniel, that is a super piece of craftsmanship !!! Have you got any liner locking ones to show? Your work is always of the best quality and the designs are also right in line! Frank

Thanks!

How do you sharpen a carbide edge?

I prefer silicon (black) carbide sandpaper on a flat surface, a ceramic rod/stone or diamond setup. The Ti/carbide is very easy to build up a burr with and you only need to from the microbeveled side... after that just strop or hone off. Stropping takes a it more than steel but the burr builds up easier.

I like to leave my carbide edges unsharpened for the most part, on abrasive materials like cardboard the edge can be somewhat self sharpening.

Thanks Frank, that means a lot coming from you! Here's a recent Framelock design, my RF2.

That is an absolutely stunning piece. Living in England means that the blade length you have on this piece is nigh-perfect for legal EDC. Do you ever do any steel bladed versions of this model, or is it only ever carbide-edged titanium?

Much appreciated! I have not done any in steel yet but would like to eventually in a stainless like CPM154.

Sorry Daniel.

Just found your area of the Forum, and I can see that you're swamped!

Great work.

I will keep an eye out if you ever catch up!
