Hey everybody! Here's a quick update on what's going on in the DFK shop!


The Folder The prototype is 95% completed. I have worked out the process and almost finalized my design, everything is going great! ...talk about rock solid lockup too, my design homework payed off well. :D They will be available somewhat soon. :cool:


This week I'll be finishing the Damascus run and have a few available by the end of the week. Look out for The Big One and a Balisong as well!

I also have two knives in Ti ready for photos and another small run of Backpackers almost completed. Look out for lots of Ti!


Orders, etc... My books are still closed but I'm knocking out the orders steadily! I have a few going now that will be finished up pretty soon.


Keychain Tools Ti ones are coming soon! I'm still working on securing materials, etc but am working very hard towards a run


One-off's and customs! I have a bunch of gear I want to make so look out! I have lots of steel in stock and always enjoy picking up a bar and making whatever comes to mind.


Kiridashis I'll be doing a run of my "standard" model very soon in .25" 5160 and maybe another steel, possibly a stainless

DFK club? At first I thoght you meant a club , to bash stuff with! But I think you might mean the other kinda club. Well either way count me in! Maybe all club members get a club!hmmmmm Think about it Daniel, DFK Caveman club?

Folder pics soon, right now the lock side is sitting in a pitcher of acid, lol I broke a tap. I think I'll put it together as soon as I get more taps in. I should grind the blade soon, it will be a lean and mean fighter grind on this one!

Hey I could do that too! I want to make a spear or a cane sword too...

No I mean like a gang, you know. :D

Lots of cool stuff coming! Something to add to your "someday" list, how about a survival knife with a hollowed out threaded pommel? :)

I'll only do the survival knife if I can make one of those cool wire cutter thingies with the sheath. :D

I was actually looking into a threaded type of construction this morning, I want to make a cane sword. It has been in the plans forever now, I think I am closer to figuring out how to pull it off nicely. My Grandfather had one and I remember looking at a ton of them when he bought it, I think he got me my first SAK then too...

I have as few ideas for a survival knife that could be pretty cool, I want to make one eventually. It would be fun to mill out a handle for some high tech gadgets on a folder as well.
 
No survival knife would be complete with out a grossly exaggerated gut hook and big nasty saw notches on the spine!!It was always my understanding that "survival" knives are not to be functional but just a cool place to keep your wind/water/earthquake/hurricane proof matches and a weeeeeee little compass :D

This is exciting news.....I'm new to the DFK club, and I havn't held one of your knives (yet), but I am looking forward to all of your spring prospects.

To enter the DFK club, must one cut themselves with a DFK knife? only to collect the blood and sned it via courier to the next DFK club member who does the same, until everyone has contributed? at which point the blood gets sent to Daniel, and he uses it to "epoxy" the handles of his next (exclusive to DFK club members) awesome creation?

Because that would be rediculous, and I would partake.

a waki out of S7 ... so id like to see a katana from him as well
I believe he said his waiting list is about a year long so im
just waiting in the books to open up so I can place my order
