COMMENTS: Ultra clean workmanship on this classic hunter. Beautiful Premium REDWOOD BURL, OOSIC AND AMBER IN THE HANDLE!! A popular and classic model from Mr. Holder. Top name, outstanding fit and finish, a timeless knife for your collection or to take in the field. D’Holder doesn’t take orders for knives any more so these are getting harder and harder to find. Mr. Holder is truly one of the most sought after knife makers there is.

Not trying to argue, because I don't know for sure, but his site currently lists ATS 34 as the steel he's using in his most common style of knife. Of course, it could be out of date.

Apologies to the moderator, just trying to flush this out. The D'Holder site has been outdated for some time. I used to own several of the knives on his website. Unless he has gone back to ATS-34, he is still using 19C27. Either way, it doesn't alter the beauty of the knife.
