Has anyone seen the Darrel Ralph Diablo in person, or know of it's disposition. I have only seen pictures, and it looks amazing.

yes I saw it before it was totally finished. Its one wicked knife. The handles are solid sterling I mean SOLID, and it blends into solid gold toward the tail. So heavy you could break a door down with the thing. The blade is very cool. The pattern in the damascus is very small so as to give the effect of actually looking like tongues. In case you couldn't tell by the pic, its two dragons belly to belly and their tongues(?)--> interweaving form the blade. Correct me if I'm wrong DR---I had a beer or six that show, forget a few things now and again. The handles were made using the lost wax casting method DR explained to me. Pretty neat process. They were at this stage when I saw the knife. He would later finish the handles and put on the final touches. Oh last but not least it was an AUTOMATIC!!! As if it wasn't kewl enough....Jeff

The handles had two pounds of silver in them . 3 oz's of 14 kt gold. What a knife. The backspine has a ridge carved in it like a dragon. The teeth were gold plated and several places on the knife. It was a two year project and one I learned many new processes on. Thanks for the kind words..
