Dialex Battlestation Price?

All Spyderco's are fairly priced, all a them in my opinion.

Okay wait maybe except for the stepped ti chaparral. That's the only knife that's high, everything else is fair.

I think a number of the Japan-made Spyderco are uncompetitive in pricing. I'm definitely not talking about the value-priced Delica, Endura or Stretch. The Caly 3.5 is a great deal too. But then you have models like the Starmate, Centofante Memory, Battlestation, Khalsa, etc.
Anyway, it is what it is. I vote with my wallet.

Preach it.

I am tempted to say that even the Delica and Endura are overpriced, but that it the nature of making things in Japan.

G.Sakai or SOGs Seki made products are the same way.

Well they seem to be selling...

A little comparison...Boker's Chinese made GTC Federal at $160 makes a Japanese made Starmate at $180 not too bad of a deal. Of course, the Boker has Ti and carbon fiber inlay, but the Starmate was made by Moki and designed by Terzuola. Would you rather have 440C (Boker) or VG10 (Starmate?)

Your vote does not seem to be swinging the election :)

When the Chaparral Stepped Titanium first came out it was around $359! I waited a few months and finally got one at $259! Once you look at the gorgeous, intricate, time-consuming and ultimately expensive milling you'll know it's well worth $259.

Personally, the Battlestation at $200 is not worth it to me but I'll take a second look once it comes down to around $150.

I don't think AF cares if Spyderco offers these knives for sale, I think AF was just saying that they personally weren't going to buy if they didn't think the value was there. I tend to agree. When you can get a PM2 with upgraded steel and made in the US for $150, $180 for the Starmate seems steep. I'm not saying it's "unfair" but I do think some of the collabs offer a lower value than other Spydercos. I chalk this up to the insane value of the other knives mentioned, but either way, I also haven't pulled the trigger on some of those collaborations for this reason.
