I just read an article in Peterson's Hunting magazine (May issue) about Diamond Blade knives. The article sure did talk them up. It was very interesting to read about their process of blade making using D2 steel, since I'm currently learning a lot about steel types.

I don't know if anyone has one and can comment on it, or if ya'll want to check them out. www.diamondbladeknives.com

Looks interesting, I'd like to see a side by side comparison to some other "super steels"

I've seen their ads in Blade, but didn't really think about it too much until I saw your post. Thanks for the link to their website.

First impression, based solely on the website: At those Rc numbers, it's a seriously hard edge, which is what's responsible for their edge retention. Bet it's also going to be a real pain to sharpen once it finally does get dull, too.

Expensive little dingbats, too. Considering that you can get a very serviceable knife in S30V for around $100, I don't think I need a $400 knife that performs slightly better all that badly.
