Diamond Pattern Steel Tread Plate

Any steel retailer should have that, check the phonebook. They'll be able to cut it to that size too but some places will charge you for a whole sheet. Last I checked, Lowes sold diamond plate too but the prices are outrageous.
 
Check your local Tractor Supply Company store. They keep small pieces in stock at mine.

That is made in steel ,stainless steel, aluminum and in various thicknesses from about 1/16" to 1" .If you can't find small pieces get a number of projects and have the supplier cut it up for you on his shear.
 
If you can't find a local supplier you might try www.onlinemetals.com they do small, large, and special cut orders. Decent prices and shipping. I have had shipping from them go faster than expected and afew times 3 or 4 days longer than ecpected. All in all a good place to get things you can't or don't want to buy local.
