Available thicknesses are too thick for me for knifemaking unless they have under 1/4 " I wouldn't order any.

if it's true i'll buy it no matter what the thickness and split it with a hacksaw if i have to!

if you really want a knife that'll last use C2 Carbide.

You'll need to use silicon carbide wet belts to shape. but boy if there was ever a be all end all in knife steel...

There are all kinds of older threads on this. It's differentially tempered, and the general consensus is that it's not worth the pretty hefty prices they're charging for it. I'd do a search for you, but I'm kinda busy right now (at the NRA convention).

Yup. DiamondBlade is Just D2 with a fancy heat treat.
