Did a strip and polish job by hand wich is one of the hardest things I have ever done.Lots of diffrent grits of sandpaper and a polish job with the drill and it's still a little scratchy but I'm OK with that.Then I saw the landshark pics earlier and decided to use my dremal to make some firesteel dips on the headache maker some small some large for diffrent size firesteels.I think it also makes it look pretty mean too.I definetly don't want to get hit with it now.My camera is not that high quality so It hides some of the scratches.I've never seen this before so what do you guys think.

I like the fire steel notches. I beaver split to much wood to do that on my 2 but I do have a cheapo I could try it on. Nice job.

Very nice! So do you like the feel of using the end of the knife with the firesteel? I'm gonna have to try it.

I have never even used a knife to strike a steel before so I don't have much to compare to,but it does work.I lit up some cotton balls as soon as I was done.I dremeled the notch where the sharp edge almost meets the handle as well,I'm sorry I don't know what that part is called,but that part does the best it threw gobs of sparks that danced around on the floor and scared my wife she was afraid I would burn the house down.

Looks pretty good!

That's a beauty. Lots of hard work there. The firesteel notches are a great idea too. Would love to see an action shot of them in use.

The BK-2 is now a signal mirror as well. I bet you did have a pile of sandpaper when you were done. I haven't done anything like that by hand, I guess that makes me lazy, or just patiently waiting for a belt sander.
Good job, if you want to try it again, I'll send you some stripped blades and some sandpaper!

Nicely done! I really like that pommel, and that polish job is first rate.

I think I'm in love :::

for the third time today :D

very nice work man.. looks excellent, the pommel is wicked... seriously, like the devil or something :D..

I've done knives like this and its never failed to hurt my feelings when they get scratched from use..... so, now no super polish for me....... :D
