Ziptrickhead and I did some hiking today. Nothing exotic like some of you guys but it's always nice to get out there. It's been awhile since I've gone hiking. Needless to say I think I need to get out a bit more. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

looks like this was a very exciting trip. great pictures!! what area were you hiking in?

Not bad actually. So far it looks like I got away with only one mosquito bite on my back (through my shirt?). Brought some DEET just in case the mosquitoes were horrible but didn't feel the need to use it.

Carrot had all these repellent bracelets on him so he seemed to have avoided bites.

Pretty good considering it felt pretty humid today and I thought the bugs would be flying all over.

Those woods are as good as any. Like the gear too. Especially the Sebenza and the Koster Bushcrafts. Thanks for posting.

looks like a great hike.

is bear mountain park on bear mountain in CT?

nice gear.

Yes. Agreed. Two fixed blades plus 4 folders seems a bit overkill to me... LOL.
Cool pictures though. You had the chance of going out to play with your toys which is always a good excuse to get outdoors!

Looks like a great area, nice gear too. (I bring my iPhone with me everywhere too :))

Great hike, great knives and a good selection of gear!

I force myself to bring at max. three knives with me (including the mini SAK on my keychain), sometimes only one!
Not that there is anything wrong with bringing your favorite toys to some fresh air.
