Did any of you watch I Shouldnt be Alive last night?

Several years ago I was hunting and had an episode of Atrial Fibrillation(fast heartbeat). I couldn't walk more than 30 feet at a time before I had to rest and I was over a half mile from my truck. I knew my buddies were on the other side of the hill from me so I fired 3 consecutive shots with my pistol. I waited about a minute and fired three more. On the second string one of my buddies fired three times with his shotgun and yelled WHOOOOOO!! I figured at this point I would just have to walk out.:)

After my trip to the hospital, I talked to him and he said he had never heard of the three shot thing. He thought I had ran into a herd of deer.LOL! Well you can be sure all of my hunting buddies know now. Good friends that they are they renamed the hill "Heart Attack Hill".LOL

Maybe they didn’t hear the gunfire. Maybe they weren’t real as dehydration plays with the mind. Maybe they didn’t like being shot at. Maybe they were criminals like illegal aliens, drug dealers etc. Hard to say but that’s all which comes to my mind right now. In any case they should change the name of that show to “ I shouldn’t have been so careless”. Imagine you actually find a river but then decide not to drink or take that water along and end up being nearly buzzard food.

I haven't seen that one yet, but in my line of work if they were backpackers in New Mexico they probably had packs full of dope, some money to reach their destination, and probably armed to defend those packs.

Or....

Any of the above reasons already given - scared, didn't know about rule of 3's, figured it was someone horsing around, or they could have just not heard it - a lot of people nowadays hike around with their iPods on and couldn't hear someone talking to them a couple feet away.

I like this show. Does anyone have a link to watch them after they have aired? I don't watch TV.

I first learned of the groups of threes in the state's hunter's course almost 20 years ago. My buddy's 16 year old son just took it and he said they still teach it.
