Here we go, folks!
I'm one post from 1000 (including this one) and boy did it sneak up on me!

Judging from my stats, where I spend my time is obvious:

Top Areas Of Posting
------------------------
Becker Knife & Tool 602

Shop Talk - BladeSmith Questions and Answers 179

Knife Maker's Gallery 102

Since the BK&T forum represents fully 60% of my activity, and nearly 20% is spent in the makers areas, there's only one thing to be done in keeping with BF tradition:

Rules:
1) You must be a Beckerhead at the time the drawing closes!
2) Post "I'm in!", your BH number, and ONE picture of your biggest BK&T knife
3) The contest will end at 11:59pm EST, THIS SUNDAY, Feb 5. - If I feel there haven't been enough entries I'll extend it, but HURRY UP! This is post #999!
4) My cat will assault me (You've seen 'Mean Kitty Sparta'?)
5) (added) You must be 18+ and legal to own a knife in your locale! Posting is your acceptance of these terms!

I will select a lucky winner using an yet-to-be-determined algorithm, which may simply be via a random number generator. (look, I've only got one post to go, whaddaya want!)

Since I don't have any spare BK&T gear, I'll be giving away the prototype neck knife shown below.
I made it last summer as an experiment. It's smaller than anything in the Becker line with handles.
It sits on my desk taunting me, begging to be used. I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm making a revised design and this one should go to a loving home!

It's 1/16" 1095, chisel ground with a belt finish on the bevel, 1000 on the flats.
1/8" G10 scales secured by 1/8" brass pins and 2-ton epoxy.
It's shaaaaaaarp.

More details on this little knife from the original gallery post:

I'll post another pic later today.
Good luck!

Updates:

The promised pic taken this afternoon. There is slight tarnish in the bevel due to the rough finish. Hope that doesn't diminish your enthusiasm. It'll be worth the price you pay, I promise. Note there are no rivets in the sheath of this uncoated carbon steel knife - that means you can easily clean it inside and out so there are no residual moisture issues. (either that or I'm lazy - both could be true)

With my BK11 for scale:

I'm in! BH #179. My BK7, the biggest one I have, at the moment. Thanks for the chance. That's a really nice knife.

I'm in! #097

My laptop display bezel now has several large cuts in it from trying to get the knife to stand up... I ended up having to use the latch that keeps the laptop closed to hold it up. Who else has cut their laptop up with a BK9 before?!?

I've never owned a custom, and I've never handled G10, so this would be awesome :).

Thank you very much!

BH#180

skip that whole random generator number thingy. pick #14 b/c it's an awesome post number. or maybe pick the guy with BH number 180. that would also work. :)
