Did anyone else's 0561 come out of the box dull?

I'm struggling. I've been working on sharpening it for a couple hours now and I'm not much better than when I started. I may have to just bite the bullet and send it back to ZT to sharpen. Does anyone know how long turnaround takes with ZT?
 
They say a few weeks but I've seen under 2 weeks to just under 3 weeks in my personal experiences.
 
That's what I was wondering. I read on their site up to 6 weeks! Ugh. So excited to get it and then to be without.... *sigh* Hopefully it's only a couple weeks....
 
Care to share your sharpening technique with us? Elmax isn't very hard to sharpen. maybe we can help you out with your sharpening so you don't have to send her in. I'm not doubting your abilities at all BTW, just trying to help you out.
 
Ah ha! I got her! I was working against myself for awhile but I got her to a razor's hair popping edge. Like cutting thru butter now. I've never seen any of my knives slice the phone book pages so effortlessly. VERY HAPPY now!!!
