Did anyone get in on the Mudbug sale today?

Much too large and expensive to me, I have a Rough Rider liner lock that's enough to me (and stainless for food). I'd love a smaller sized one though.

I have two Mudbugs from last year's run, and they have very slightly swedges. My new Mudbug, from this year's run, has a much more pronounced swedge.

That's too bad. I preordered one (in the mail still) in part because I could not see a swedge on the pictures of earlier ones. I already have a Madison Barlow as my fancy sodbuster, I wanted this to be more plain.

I wouldn't worry too much. It's not an extreme swedge. It's nothing like the swedge in the new 74 Stallions.

I wish I could have gotten in on that sale but no spare cash. A Midnight in a denim or green would be awesome.

That's good to hear, thanks.

I've never been a person to wear anything on my belt, but that sheath looks too good not to try it out.

Certainly like the look of these but they're far too big to really interest me. Anything needing a belt sheath is a pocket no-go. Looks a quality item for sure.

Natural canvas micarta coming. I love Sodbusters and have been wanting a top-shelf version for a long time. The Mudbug sale and available pocket money showed up at the same time!

I have a black linen from last year and really like it. I remember last year they sold out within an hour. I was traveling and missed the sale this Tuesday and went to login after work. I was very surprised and happy to see a OD Green still available. I think it was one of the last two or three because a few hours later they all showed sold out. I understand they had a missing box from UPS with burgundy. Maybe we will get lucky and it shows up and a few more go on sale.

I reallllly want one of these(keep checking out the order page). I love traditional lockbacks, and locking soddies really tick the boxes for me. I've got somewhat average fingers but a huge palm, can be tough finding the right gloves boo-hop, and these just sound like a perfect fit. Modoc ED-didn't you have a thread about testing one of these on the roof of a shed or some such thing? It was about micarta I believe. Whatever happened with that? I'd try to locate the thread but have no idea what to search for precisely. It was kinda funny, as I recall.
Thanks, Neal

Thanks Ed, I caught the link and read the conclusion on the other mudbug thread. If you still don't like the red, shoot me a pm sometime, my colorblindness makes it look black to me, so what would I care? :D
Thanks, Neal

Should have mine in hand Saturday. Shame it takes something 2 days to travel 3 and a half hours of road time.

Seems to me that would have been a good road trip. Seeing as how you're from LA you could have stopped for any manner of chow - seafood, alligator, whatever. I miss the days when the wife and I would pass through Louisiana and stop for oysters and catfish.

My Mudbug should be in hand today as well.

Ok - Where's everyone's pics of the latest run of Mudbugs they've received?

Here's the OD Green micarta Mudbug I received today.

And here it is with the Red Micarta Mudbug that spent time on our woodshed roof in sun, snow, and ice for 43-days or so.

DANG!!!! This OD Green micarta is sure dark. Real dark. Even in intense light it is hard to see the green in it. It almost looks brown (even a very dark maroon) in intense, bright, light.

Alright everybody. Get your pics up. I'll keep bumping this thread until the pics come.

Got my Maroon in today but won't be able to post pics until tomorrow or Monday. I really like the color though and it's a solid knife.

Here's my maroon mudbug! Not the best photo but you can see the maroon is really dark, almost brown. Looks great. Really happy with it. Love the sheath too, perfect fit.

Nice to see the photos of all the knives, thanks folks! Modoc Ed and Mazibuko- I particularly appreciate yours, as Ed's show me that those two colors look identical to me, and Maz. yours looks black. It can be frustrating when ordering a color variant, only to have it show up and not be in the spectrum I can see! :D Keep 'em coming.
Thanks, Neal

How often does S&S do these special runs? I would have liked to get in on this if possible.
