I gave my best friend and co worker a Benchmade 722S. I just got tired of sharpening his S&W Swat knife all the time.

My former business partner and good friend got a Kershaw Mini Task, his first pocket knife ever. He already doesn't know what he ever did without it, and sneers at the slow opening of my non-speedsafe folders. Hey, it's a start

I gave my Father in Law a set of hunting knives I made one in Satin one in Mirror finish with Cocobolo and Mammoth Ivory.
Set with a sheath in a Paduk hardwood display case.
He about fell out of his chair

That felt great.
Gave my Doctor a Small fighter and a friend of mine Todd Kopp a small neck knife (Both of which I made).
He gave me a hunting knife he made.

i want to be related to either Kodiak PA, Paracelsus, or bobH...a set of custom knives! wow!

however, i did not exactly suffer this christmas. santa Carl gave me one of the limited edition Spydie Natives, the inlaid blue mother-of-pearl one, 265 of 500. i adore it. soooo sharp, and more lightweight than the blue natives, and so pretty, with great smooth action.

i wanted to give my nephews knives, but my sis vetoed the idea

Gave my Dad a Case MOP toothpick, and a CRKT "Gold Edition" KISS.

Firebat

My mom, among other things, got a set of Camillus steak knives to match the remnants of a set she received almost 40 years ago. Funny, other than the new satin finish as opposed to the old mirror polish - the old and new are indistinguishable. Must be a classic design. Lots of fond memories from the old set, hope the new ones provide as many.

My girlfriend's son received his first real SAK - a Huntsman model with an eyeglass screwdriver in the corkscrew and a Blackie Collins sheath. (He also got a couple CRKT's a little early, due to his taking a new job.)

Wouldn't mind being related or a real close friend of Kodiak PA's either! Did you see all those knives he gave out?

I got my soon to be brother-in-law a large Pointguard. He loves it, his girlfriend (sheeple) doesn't.

Gave a late birthday present of a BM 905 to a friend who had mentioned that "I wish I had a pocket-knife". Gave small Bulldog pen-knives, pearl with scrim of initials, to each of the roomies. Both are female, and had no sort of pocket knife before, and loved them. Two sets of friends who recently got engaged will get knives also

I got my old man a Harley Davidson Classic knife from AG Russell. It had a cool black leather sheath with a silver concho and leather tassel. This was right up his alley. He loved it.

He's never had a one handed opening knife before, he always goes for cheap pocket knives which he ends up breaking. This particular one let him down a bit in that you just COULDN"T get it open without two hands.

I've solved the two hand dilemna though, I'm getting him a SERE 2000 for his birthday next month. He was really impressed with mine at the family Christmas party. And that is one knife that he'll carry all the time and use for work, NOT just when he's out for a ride. I'll give it my special modification treatment and he'll be ready to rock and roll.

Well, my younger brother got a large Case stockman, my dad and soon to be brother-in-law got small Case 2 blades, and my grandfather got a small Case stockman.
Oh, and all 5 (I have a large stockman I bought for myself at the same time) were made in 1993; 3 of the small ones have dots, the other 2 have a numerical date. All are the same handle- brown jigged bone.

Fellow member rdnzl was generous enough to give away a Schrade Old Timer to me so that I could give it away as a gift to a less fortunate neighboring man. I have not run into him since. When I inquired at a visit to his "residence", they informed me that he was just no longer around. Well, I guess they didn' t require his services any longer. And the snow is coming soon and the temps will go to freezing. Oh man...
