On PBS??

If you can watch it online or catch a rerun please do.

It was a true tale of survival of teams of climbers on everest who were caught in a freak storm. Several died, some made it back to camp, 2 LIVED despite being exposed, left for dead in an 80mph storm in minus 30 temps.

They interview the people and I was on the edge of my seat. Some of their stories were amazing.

Thanks for the link. I missed it last night but plan to view it later online. I've read The Climb and purchased Into Thin Air to get an additional perspective on the disastrous 1996 event. So I'm sure I'll appreciate this account as well.

It's amazing they survived. Your body starts dying at that altitude. Unless your a Sherpa or a hardman running out of bottled oxygen at that altitude is a death warrant. Throw in a horrendous storm and your really screwed.

if you like that you'll love Touching the Void. both the book and documentary are harrowing. The guy lost 23 stone in like 3 days!
