Did Busse ever done collaboration knives?

With Les Baer?

not sure that counts. I think the swamp rat thing was with wally hayes designed blade.

Busse had one intended collaboration that did not go anywhere, it was the Ron Hood design. I cannot think of any.

I remember something about Lynn Thompson wanting to buy my battlemistress at a las vegas knife show in 2000, so maybe Lynn was interested in a collaboration. :D Instead I convinced him to send me a trailmaster and recon scout, which Cliff Stamp tested.

Yeah, Mike Thourot sp? did the polishing and handles on the skeleton keys, I believe. I think he also did a few other things, but not much AFAIK.

I thought Lynn maintained that the BM didn't actually exist. His whole argument seemed to be based on that, back in the mid 90s.

From What I heard Busse was going to do a collaboration with SOG knives????
I was told this awhile ago so I am not sure if anything has changed then??

I also got a Mike Thourot custom at Blade 06 made from infi... It wasn't a busse knife, but a thourot --- but it was definitely infi, stamped right on the blade...

I think he had about 4 or 5 infi blades at the show. Mike told me he might be able to get more, but it was not certain.

There was a forged INFI collaboration, if I recall.

A few knives from the Ron Hood collaboration exist.

Paul's Hatchet/Ratchet was Jerry's Pa's design, if I'm remembering correctly.

Didn't Jerry help his nephew make a knife?

I think there have been several collaborations of various types, though collaborations aren't common.

xaman, do you have a pic of that one? I bought one from BorderShift and I would love to compare it to the one I have.

that's the one, I traded it to randall for a BM --- if it's the one with ivory micarta handles and polished blade?

It's sure a beauty - good score!

That is the one. One of these days I am going to make a sheath worthy of that one. I have a nice D2 Thourot that goes well with it.
