Thanks jlubas. I definitely prefer slicy knives over stabby or any other kind of knife.
Great advice Eric. I did a super quick dip in 50/50 ferric/water. I'm very very happy to report that the hardened area is much higher than I thought.
I snapped a pic but it's much easier to see in person.
