It has the typical circle on the plastic handle, says Endura Clip-it - with the spider logo..
One side of the blade has Spyderco VG-10 stamped on it.
The other side has SEKI-CITY, JAPAN stamped on it..

what ya think?

The Endura II has a stainless steel handle not a plastic handle. I seriously doubt it is a fake since it does not say China or Taiwan on it. Most fakes I have seen will put where they were made. Counterfits are another story. The Endura is a nice knife but it is not as expensive as most that are counterfited. Counterfit knives are often $100 plus knives to make it worth the time to fake them. The cheap Chinese knock offs are much more common.

This knife has a zytel(?) plastic handle, and you're right, it isn't a worthy knife for someone to try to counterfeit..

Just thought they were American made and had stamping that indicated so..

No Seki-City makes many of the Spydercos. Golden CO. makes the rest. SEKI-CITY knives in my experience are very well made and I don't think any less of the Japan Spydercos than the USA ones.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't VG10 limited to Japanese made knives under their trade laws?

If this is the case, a knife made in USA with VG10 would be a knock-off, or a misappropriated blade, yeah?

You know, I never thought about that but you could be right. Every knife I have had that was VG-10 was made in Japan someplace. Either Moki or Seki-City.

That is an interesting question. Does anyone know for sure?
