Did I get a fake Kershaw 1920? Or has quality just declined?

Yes and sometimes I just like acting liking a dick(not a detective) when someone tries to rip me off.
Can't wait to hear back from Kershaw after filling them in on the stuff I learned here.
 
I would really like to think that they would do something about it, but you just never know about big corporations.
 
Do something like shut down the seller, possibly even take legal action if possible.
 
Man I carried one of those for 4-5 years..Fixed everything with that! It was the reason why I bought all the knives I have today after losing it. It was a blessing and curse all in one..
During the course of my carry, I would buy extra one here and there as I would misplace and find it later and give away. I ended up losing my last user and left with old one with broken spring, kind of like omega springs on benchmade that would work as a detent on the tool. I ended up ordering another cheap knife on ebay, as kershaw send me a pocket clip when I emailed them, even though my clip was not the issue I described. The plan was just to take the internals, and as expected due to the half price on ebay was a cheap clone. It was a very sorry one at that.. Would not recommend using those.
Few days ago, I found my beloved edc.. Little rust here and there but still good, but now realize the short comings after running though so many knives.

I really tried to give mine a chance, but I just didn't like the ergonomics and stopped carying it after a month. ( the only reason it's rusty is because I have a swamp cooler and the bead blasted finish opened the pores in the steel ) the main reason I bought it is cause I thought the built in driver was awesome ( which it is ) the only thing I would change ( besides the ergonomics ) would be leaving out the bottle opener ( luckily this one is more discreet, because I can't stand knives or tools with non folding integrated bottle openers but that's due to a personal choice to never drink ) if I had to do it all over again I would still buy the select fire, but I would've also bought the crown at the same price ( which I really kick myself for not buying ) by the way at my local Walmart I just saw this kershaw set for like 6$ ( I don't know what it was called ) but it had a smaller liner lock, K shaped bottle opener key chain ,and one of those crkt style spork tools ,so heads up on a deal if you can find it in your local Walmart :thumbup:

The seller refunded me. I just would like to see Kershaw maybe scare the crap out of them with some legal notice at this point. The real shame is that if you read the seller feedback of the guys that are foisting them off on Ebay you see page after page of "great knife". Some are selling hundreds off them. The seller of mine had sold 52 and still had plenty more to go.

I have the Walmart Blue version that I bought a couple years ago. I could throw some pictures up if your interested. Mine was not the best quality...

I didn't have best experiences with some of the cheaper kershaws. One of them (shuffle) came dirty with a clip attached extremely loose. Than, despite I took care of it it rusted. The quality might have declined but, I realised the rusting kershaw problem is mostly on the bead-blasted kershaws. The coating might be the problem too.

I have some pretty low end knives and sure can see the differences between them and the higher end stuff. But this blue 1920 just screams shoddiness.

Believe the one in the link from alexpress below is the one I have. Strange listing has Kerhaw name in the listing and has the knife sitting next to a box that says Kershaw but the blade markings are in Chinese.

As I compared pictures of the one from alexpress and one from kershaws website i realised the thumb stud was different size and color. Screws are different in both and the loner lock is thiner you might have gotten a fake one.
