Did I get jazzed?

Great knife = congrats!
Of course no need or pressure to reveal the sale price, but hopefully - and I do mean hopefully - you told him you were Blade Forum family, he extended the “BF (hmmm. . . that’s rather appropriate here) discount,” you then counteroffered, and he accepted.

Looks like a hybrid: RMD handle + R6 bowie blade

Some of the custom shop R6's that took off the top guard look and feel very similar to an RMD handle, which is a great thing in my book. It does make the handle closer to an M6 handle but I think the back, top of the M6 handle is just a little higher for a slightly straighter handle overall.

I'm with everyone else though, if you paid an RMD price you got a good deal.

I do wonder if it's closer to a custom shop beefmandu though, since it's over 1/4" thick, but the beefmandu is supposed to only be 6" long.

I'll post pics next to my Beefmandu later. The beefmandu has a blade that is similar to the RMD it's like 1.25 inches.

Here's pics of it next to a Beefmandu.

If you got it on eBay, just return it if you’re not happy with it. Clearly not what you thought you were getting.
I debated it but the seller made right by me. I've decided to keep it. I appreciate the BF community for helping me with this. You all our a wealth of knowledge and considerate enough to lend both your ears and advice.

There is pretty big difference between R6 & M6 handles.
R6 is narrower and more sculpted/rounded, M6 flatter and wider.
This one looks to be a CS version (probably show or Ganza) of the MO R6 release
