Did i get jipped?

I think that depends on how you feel about the two knifes. If you are going to enjoy the RC-4 more than the 930 than you did not get jimped IMHO.

Before you jump to a conclusion.
I am just speaking from experienece. I sent them 3 knives for repair/service and was never asked for the reciept or purchase date. They did everything for free, except charged me $40 for a new blade for my 710 at my request. I sent it twice, and one time they did not charge me for the return shipping, which is only $5 by the way. I sent knives in a bulk package, but they returned them with factory boxes. Tell me what not to like?

No need to "jump" to any conclusions about what you wrote. You spelled it out quite clearly. As far as personal experiences go, Benchmade seems to be rather inconsistent then, because I was asked to provide sales receipts with a BM 710 and 722 that I had to send back for broken omega spring replacements. Personal experiences aside, there are clearly big differences between RC's and BM's written waranties, and there is no mistaking it.;)

This is a silly thread. Unless the traded blade in question arrived in a condition that was not disclosed prior to the trade then there is no point. The OP wasn't defrauded he walked into a deal wide open.

If I were the person who traded with you (and I'm not) and I read your post here I would think you are a supreme smuck!

its not so much myself being cheated, it was more of a "did this guy make a huge profit from this trade."

As stated previously, you lost a little on replacement value, but if you got a knife you want, and will use , and traded off one that you dont want as much, or won't use as much ENJOY YOUR NEW TOOL (in my case new toy)

Have fun bro, enjoy your new knife and no regrets.

If YOU like the knife, that`s all that matters....you now have something that makes you happy, good for you.

(Oh yeah, the proper term is "Gypped", dating back to when the general population lived in fear of "The Gypsies")

Sort if...sort if not. Maybe lost a little in terms of buying a new Kulgera, but gained a lot in terms replacement ability with the RAT, since if he destroys it he gets a new one free! And even if he loses it it's cheaper to replace. ;)

No you didn't since you agreed to the trade.

Price wise about a $40.00 to $50.00 difference

I don't think it is a big deal and I don't think an online retailer would accept a trade. Could you have done better maybe. Is a folder better than a fixed blade such as a RAT4? hell no.

You probably could of done a bit better (dollar wise) but I wouldn't go as far as saying you got jipped.

Sharpguy, price is relevant and meaningful only to the needs or desires of the individual. This is true in any bargaining. If the Kulgera were to cost, say, $300 and the RAT was $100, and you liked the RAT better than the Kulgera, then there is no price loss or gain. The RAT, while costing less, is worth more (to you) than the other knife.
