You can cover the screen with a dollar bill and still have 3/4 of the bill left over. The screen measures like 2x2!
I ass u me d from the picture on Ebay that this thing had a screen at least 4"x4"! Is that what I get for ass um ing or is this the normal size for one of these things?

They list the dimensions as 48mmX48mmX82mm -- that's about 1.9"x1.9"x3.2" - so what you got seems to match up.

The picture down in the text was what I was looking at for size!

You ordered the 1/16 DIN, the larger one is probably 1/4 DIN.

I have two 1/16" PID's that are just about identical to the one you received. One runs my forge, the other my homemade heat treating oven. I have had no trouble with either of them.

yes that is a 1/16 din size. i have 1/4 din and i love it. but most people use the 1/16 din but i wanted something huge so i see it from across the room. if you look at my forge videos you will see what a 1/4 din looks like.

OK, so it looks like it will work! :o I guess I will just have to be more diligent about the details next time I order and ass u me nothing!!!!!!!!
JT, I was hoping for one I could see across the room also, guess I will have to get a magnifying glass to read it!
Chalk this one up to live and learn.
If you are going to order one, and you are going to have to get your reading glasses to see it, order the 1/4 din size, not the 1/16 din size. That is a piece of advice I had not heard before I made this order!

Heck mine are even smaller than that at 0.95" x 1.89" x 3" (1/32 DIN). You guys must have some really BIG room to have to read across!

LOL, this is funny. I ordered a 1/16 PID from auberins about a month ago and paid $75 for the ramp soak featured PID. I thought the same thing when I got the box in the mail, I didnt pay much attention to the dimensions. It gets my oven to 1600 degrees in less than 15 minutes... I dont care how small it is lol, it works.

I have 3 1/16 DIN PID's that run my kilns, they all work well. I had to resolder one connection in one of my Auberins PIDs because it was cutting out, other than that they have worked flawlessly onche I got them programmed correctly

When you guys say you have a PID running your forge are you talking about gas or electric. If it is gas how does that work?
