Did I lose some potential friends? LOL

I keep an 59" Very Large War Sword just inside the garage door ( 45" double edged blade ) unsheathed of course. Just lift the door up a couple feet and reach in and pull it out. Had to put it in the garage - kept cutting the ceiling indoors accidentally.

Fed:

If I remember my indo-blade lore correctly, isn't that supposed to be exactly what happens? Mostly w/spears, but keris, too, IIRC.

I caused some minor excitement in my building a couple of weekends back. I'd just come back from my new place out in the 'burbs (it's not quite livable, yet), where I'd been doing a bunch of clearing with a golok and an M-43. I was carrying the blades in the open and drew comments from the desk guy and a couple of my fellow tennants. It doesn't matter, since I'm out of there in a few weeks.

So far, my new neighbors-to-be in the 'burbs haven't said anything about my blade swinging. I think they're just happy that someone's maintaining the place after 21 years. Either that, or they're too scared.

Hehehe youre very right Spence ;) Especially bloodthirsty ones (ones that have seen many battles) are supposed to fly out at night to get their fill, and I got a few that seen their share of action.

Though I got to clear my tiny little city lot myself. Im always kinda nervous when I go outside and start chopping away. Worst nightmare is for someone to call the cops, or the cops to be driving around. There have been a couple of situations just like that in the past few years, and all I can say is guy with machete loses to cop with gun. Though I cant for the life of me figure a better way to cut through the brush.

I think you'd generally be alright if the police see that you are actually clearing brush. However, if you're leaning against a car, cigarette in one hand and a blade in the other. It may not go as well. :)

With a 42" kampilan, the brush probably gets out of the way on its own, Fed.

I understand your fear re: the police. You're on your own property, but to an overzealous LEO, that probably doesn't mean much.

42"kampilans is the way a short person trims a tall bush without a ladder of some sorts :D
