Did I make A good Buy?

I was looking for sheath making supplies for the 6 or so knives I have in the works right now on USA knife maker. I just glanced into handle material and saw that the 11 lb box of G10 end cuts was back in stock and I jumped on it. My question is whether or not I made a good buy. Thanks in advance.

I've seen that offer and wondered how much would be usable, so never pulled the trigger. I'd appreciate it you posted photos (maybe with a ruler if possible) of the pieces. Hope you get a lot of good pieces out of it.

Some small pieces but most of it is good once you clean of the dirt. Alot of like 1 1/4 by 5ish pieces and a big block. Dirty though.

Tracy posted in the description that if the scales would fit on a knife he wouldn't throw them in that box. I'm sure there are some cuts you can use for bolsters, backspacers or small knife handles.

Right from the listing:
"Just to be clear, these are end cuts, crooked cuts and stupid cuts. This isn't pairs of scales. It is all too small for a standard scale or it wouldn't be in this box...A standard scale for me is 1.5"x5" "
"This stuff is covered in caked on cutting dust. You will have to clean it up."

If you make folders, or neckers, it wll be a good deal box. If you make normal size fixed blades, it probably won't.

Most of it seemed to vary from about 1/8 to 3/8 but I got a block of whiteish g10 that had to be an inch thick. Totally calls for a stick tanged bowie when I am ready.

Thanks. Its always cool when the big guys and mods stop by the thread.

Be sure to look closely and match the direction of the weave, as well as the top and bottom of the pieces. The scales will look different when shaped and sanded if they are not matched.

It would be awesome if you could put up a picture of what you got. I'm sure many of use have thought about it before but were hesitant. I'd love to get a list of what you got and sizes, just to have a rough idea what to expect.
