Did I make the right decision?

The right decision??? It is never wrong to get a BK-2. Its a beast. I picked one up early on in my Becker obsession days and I have to say that I might not have truly needed any other. It will do anything you need a knife to do and more. Enjoy.

All these things & more. You made the right decision when you found BK&T/KaBar. High quality blades at working mans prices. You will want & need a 10 at some point as well, & 4,5,6,7,9,11,14,15,16,17, ............ :D
Also an RBK, 3, 12, and 24.

Knives are an addictive collection...especially beckers. I have the BK2 and recently got the BK9...now it's a toss up to see if I will buy the BK7 or wait for the BK10......who am I kidding, I'll get both, lol

Well, my BK2 should be here Monday, or Tuesday the latest. So there's no turning back now.
I'd still like to pick up the BK10 someday, but hopefully my knife addiction wont get out control.
There's a few other things I need to save up for.
I have had a little more expendable cash lately since I haven't been buying ammo anymore, but sooner or later the craziness will end and I'll be stocking up again.
But by then I'm sure I'll have a few sweet blades.
I originally planned on getting an ESEE-5, and a Bark River Bravo1, and although those are both sweet blades the Beckers seem to be a great value.
On paper the BK2 seems very comparable to the ESEE-5, but at half the price.
The BK2 seems like allot of knife for the money, and seeing everyone's sweet custom Beckers on this forum I'm eager to get my hands on my new knife.
I was planning on buying some micarta scales, but I might just try my hands on making some custom hardwood scales instead.

I don't want to get to fancy with it though since this knife will be frequently used.
I treat my knives more like tools than collectables.

This thread might be the only BK2 specific thread where NO ONE threw up at least one Becker content photo.

F it, I aint throwin one up either.

Love my 2

I don't want to break a tradition so I'll post the only Becker I currently have.:D

I'll post it's new "companion" when it arrives.

I don't have a 2.

However at christmas, these were my Beckers:

Just cause pictures are pretty much a requisite for any thread!

Well this might just be an addiction because I just ordered a BK11.
I didn't really need a necker since I already own an Ekabar, but it was only $32 delivered on Amazon so I couldn't resist.
I heard that the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem, but I don't have a problem, I can quit any time.
Just one more Becker, then I'll quit.:D

Well, my BK2 arrived today!

After opening the box any doubts that I made the wrong decision vanished.
This thing is a serious slab of steel!
As soon as I got it in my hand my voice deepened and my beard, and chest hair grew a good 2 inches!
Just holding it makes me feel manlier by the minute!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going out into the forest to find a bear to wrestle.:D

Kudos on the new bk2, I felt the same at a point about getting mine but after I modified it and tried it...different story. The bk2 is one of those "not for everybody" kind of knife, I use to hate it until I got one. Great...GREAT! knife.

By the way, I do agree with the sharp part:

As stated on page 32 of the Testicle Owners Manual "All men shall, at some point, own a Ruger 10/22 and a Becker BK2."

Still have to get a 10/22. I have a Marlin 795 that's a tack driver, but it's not as customizable as the Ruger.
But as of now I still can't find any more .22 ammo, so I can't justify that purchase yet.
I do have several thousand rounds of .22 but I hate using my stash without being able to replace it.

At some point I'll own one though, along with a few dozen more firearms.

Now that you've got it stop fretting! Just enjoy using it. You will be buying another Becker soon enough.

I already did!
Got a BK11 in the mail today. I figure I'll do a custom matching pair with the BK2, still working on the ideas though.

Here's a pic with the 2 and 14out in the woods together.

Got some stainless hardware for it too today. $2.50 well spent.
Started some low cost sheath mods too, plus I have kydex for the BK11 sheath.

I'll probably start a separate thread for that when I start modding.
