Did I order a handmade or a production Dozier?

, but the one he bought was not done by Mr Dozier like he asked in the first post.

Bob could have done the OP's KS-3. I didn't get a chance to talk to either this year at Blade, but last year(09) Dan told me that many of the standard models such as the KS-3 on the table were ground by Bob.

"...but what exactly am I wrong about? "

I believe AGR was telling you that Bob Dozier's shop crew does all the knives, regardless of price or finish. The more expensive knives from Bob's shop have a higher level of finish, are usually not part of his regular designs, have more expensive materials and are limited in the number produced a year. But they are not sole authorship by Dozier. If they were...they'd be even more expensive :)

Actually, the mirror finish knives and folders, I believe, to be done by Dozier himself. I also believe that they are properly priced for the number he makes.
